2024年:首届文学与音乐跨学科研究的观念、视野与方法学术论坛
In response to General Secretary Xi Jinping's call during the third collective study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in February 2023 to “promote interdisciplinary integration and cross-disciplinary research, and build a high-quality disciplinary system with comprehensive and balanced development,” the School of Literature at Hubei University has actively pursued interdisciplinary integration and deepened cross-disciplinary innovation. This forum, supported by the National Social Science Fund Youth Project “Research on Musical Representation in British Modernist Fiction” (Project Approval No.: 22CWW017), aims to trace the developmental trajectory of literary and musical media, explore their representational forms and specific examples across different historical periods along with their underlying causes, and clarify issues such as the boundaries of interdisciplinary research between literature and music. In terms of interpretive approaches, it seeks to address the problem domains, critical discourses, and research methodologies involved in composite media forms of music and literature, music within literature, and literature within music. By linking literature and musicology, it aims to broaden interdisciplinary perspectives and establish a research platform for academic exchange.
University leaders participating in this forum included Song Ren, Dean of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hubei University; Wan Mingming, Party Secretary of the College of Liberal Arts at Hubei University; Zhang Pengfei, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Hubei University; and Yu Lan, Deputy Party Secretary of the College of Liberal Arts at Hubei University. External leaders included Yang Heping, Director of the Research Office at Wuhan Conservatory of Music, and Wang Jinyuan, Artistic Director of Hubei Opera and Dance Theatre.
